Chain of Hope is an international children’s charity dedicated to providing life-saving heart surgery to children from war-torn and developing countries who would otherwise have no access to specialist cardiac care. Founded in 1996 by Professor Sir Magdi Yacoub, the charity mobilises teams of highly skilled volunteer cardiac surgeons, doctors and nurses from leading hospitals around the world to treat children born with life-threatening heart conditions.
